Actual situation:
I buy the AC66U expecting to improve the WLAN range and increase the LAN outputs to my actual router Huawei D100 with huawei E170 (this combination works just fine, Enough Fast Internet Download between 1 and 5 mbit and Ping between 50 and 90 but we escalate and need more LAN outputs, WLAN is poor in the second floor and planed an HD we can access from many pc"s and from the Internet, so the AC66U would be perfect.
I'm in Austria, my Provider is 3!
Te Problem:
The Router recognizes the USB Stick and for about 10 to 60 the connection to the internet works fine, but suddenly it breaks the connection and and in the "Network map" the usb Stick ist not show (No drive) and Internet status: disconnected, then after a few minutes it is connected again with a new IP, sometimes internet works for a while (mostly between a few seconds and 120 seconds), then again no internet connection but apparently the USB is still recognized, then again the connections work shortly, and then again No internet and no USB and so on the whole time, in some cases it looks like the the wlan connection between PC and Router also breaks.
What I Test so far:
Different Firmwares (original and Merlin) and removed the pin from the simcard (because at the beginning when it disconnected the web interface show an error regarding incorrect pin, but this is not possible because it works shortly)
Questions:
Any ideas? maybe some configuration issue?
I will use the 3G as my primary and unique Internet connection, can I configure this this? in other words change 3g from Backup connection to primary?
I'm looking for another USB Stick for test purposes, but not luck so far, maybe can test it with phone?
How can I test if the WLAN connection breaks between the router and my PC (I'm using Fedora 17, but can test with an MacOS and if necessary Windows)
can I check the up time from the router?
