QNAP has announced three AMD Ryzen based NASes. The TS-x77 series includes the 12-bay TS-1277, 8-bay TS-877 and 6-bay TS-677.

All are based on AMD’s Ryzen multi-core processors, use DDR4 memory, support two M.2 SSD modules for internal cache, and have eight USB (six 3.0 and two 3.1) ports.

With their three PCI-e expansion slots, the TS-x77 series can support AMD Radeon and Nvidia graphics cards and QNAP’s QM2 10 GbE/ 40 GbE network cards for faster network throughput.

Storage expansion for the TS-x77 series includes VJBOD, hot-swap RAID upgrades to larger drives, and hardware expansion using one of QNAPs own expansion enclosures.
