Hi folks I have an rt-n66u with merlin 3.0.0.4.372.31.

If I turn on QOS setting up / down speeds to roughly 85% of what I get using speedtest.net, I am disconnected briefly which I think is normal but after I reconnect to the router, I have no internet access at all.

As soon as I turn off QOS, I reconnect and everything is fine.

Any ideas?

372.31? Update your firmware.

I agree. QOS was rolled out then, but it was buggy. Or just when I did, my ISP had a really, really, bad day. I chuck it up to bad code at the time...

Yeah the firmware upgrade fixed my issue.

Funny (or stupid) thing is that I just got this router a few days ago and installed the merlin firmware, but I assumed that the top file in the download folder was the newest, when in fact the bottom file was the newest.. so I inadvertently installed the oldest available firmware. Doh!

Thanks guys.
