I just bought a Dell Thin Client Wyse 5010 with Intel 7260 Wi-Fi card. It did not come with antennas and has 2 connectors in the back for 2 antennas and the HDMI port that is very close by.
I have 8 Wi-Fi antennas from a Asus RT-AC5300 but they do not fit the Dell due to the size of the AC5300 antenna and the space constraints (HDMI port right next to antenna ports).
1) I have a Asus RT86U also, can I swap the AC5300 antenna with the AC86U and use the AC86U antenna’ on the Dell?
2) From what I have read the antennas are tuned to frequency and should be interchangeable. Is this correct?
3) Only thing to keep in mind are if the antenna is single band or dual band. How do I figure that out also?
TIA
