I just came over here after purchase of an R7800, to compare to a Synology RT2600ac which I had been using for a few weeks. The Synology is a very nice, capable and reliable device but the R7800 provides significantly better wireless speeds on 5G on my upstairs condo roof deck here in Brooklyn, NY. I'm using the R7800 in AP mode on a Verizon FiOS gigabit system.

Looking forward to learning and contributing here.
