Random timeouts on RT-AC68U firmware 3.0.0.4.374.4422

I have MTNL ADSL2+ 8 Mbps connection. a TP link ADSL Modem acts as a bridge and feeds my RT-AC68U which dials a PPPoE connection.

Since past few firmware updates, I get random timeouts for websites on my PC connected by LAN cable. On wireless clients like ipad and mobiles, the internet is un-browsable. Websites keep loading forever. If I hit refresh button on the browser, the websites start loading.

Is this ASUS problem or my ISP?

None of my friends on same ISP have any timeout problem.

Could be lots of things. Check to see if MTU on asus is 1492 or whatever it needs to be.

Could be your DSL modem is failing.

Try changing your asus IP address to 192.168.5.1. I don't know anything about your modem in bridge mode, but sometimes that can help.

Check to see if your port 445 is open with grc port scan and then take steps to close it.
