I just connected an RAX20 for the first time yesterday, and while it took a long time to establish an internet connection, it finally did, and then worked as I tested it for half an hour. But when I tried it again a couple hours later, it had no internet connection, even after rebooting it and the modem. What causes this? Is this just a Netgear thing? Will a firmware upgrade help?
I'm moving from an ASUS RT66, and wanted to stick with ASUS but found this Netgear on clearance and thought I'd try it. I planned to get a couple newer ASUS routers for a mesh system, since I barely have coverage in part of the house, but oddly the Netgear has much better coverage and be enough by itself, if it can keep an internet connection.
