Redirecting outgoing traffic RT-N66U

I am having problems with a piece of equipment (Garmin Index Scales) for which the workaround is to redirect the NTP from the flakey Garmin NTP to a more stable one.

I am running stock firmware on the router and cannot figure out a way of configuring this.

I do not wish to change the firmware if at all necessary but if that is the only advice can anyone please suggest the best way to do this and preserve my extensive configuration that has been built and refined over many years.

Another option is to replace the router as mine is one of the models with defective cat 5 ports so it may be time to switch to something with better firmware and be fully functioning.

TIA
