Remote Log Server not receiving events

New Around Here
Hi,

I recently upgraded to firmware 3.0.0.4.374.35_2 on my AC68U- for a while now my router has been sending events from the router's syslog to my remote log server, however it no longer does this. I have the correct IP address set under Administration > System > Remote Log Server.

I reported this to Asus, but their customer support seems clueless.

Is this a bug? Anyone else found this?

Seems no one has this bug. Merlin?

No idea. To tell the truth, very few users are using a remote syslog, that would explain the lack of feedback there.

In my setup it's not receiving messages only when I set target ip's arp to ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff or using target's address 192.168.1.255 (this mentioned in dd-wrt or openwrt guide too).

Do you have running processes named "syslogd" and "/sbin/klogd" on router?

If you are using the standard address range for 192.168.1.0/24) then this would not work because the 192.168.1.255 is the network broadcast address. Try an address other then that.
