Hi all,
I have a setup that has been running well for a while:
Main router running DDWRT, wireless on, one WiFi camera connected
Repeater, same subnet, with different SSID, three WiFI cameras connected
I recently pulled the repeater and have inserted a Merlin ASUS device. Easy configuration, on same subnet, etc. Using old network name and security. The three cameras connect immediately.
Issue: the wireless cameras connected to the Repeater**can't** be accessed from wired or wireless clients on the main router. Clients on the Repeater can access all cameras, even the one on the main router. Clients on the repeater can access the camera on the main router.
When the ASUS device is in repeater mode, it almost seems as though a firewall is enabled on the repeater. This seems to be odd 'same subnet' behavior. Never had the issue with the old, weak-wifi repeater.
I have tried 2 different Merlin devices - different hardware and firmware. Same exact result.
Thoughts?
TIA!
