My Asus 'Dark Knight' RT-N66U router is dying.

What should I replace it with:
  1. Buy a new Asus Router (AC66U, AC86U, etc.)?
  2. Buy a new different brand router (NightHawk)?
  3. Go all in on Ubiquiti and pick up a Router (USG or Edge)?

I have gigabit fiber internet connection and already have a Ubiquiti UAP-AC-PRO.

Seems a new ASUS as thats what your used to. I've heard good things about Ubiquiti ...my friend has a complete Ubiquiti setup with a USG but he has a lot of space to cover. I have a NG 7800 and while the performance and coverage have been amazing the last 2 firmwares have had problems...I think I would go with all Ubiquiti if redoing my home.

I would pick up a USG since you already have an AP from Ubiquiti.

If you can stretch to the ac86u. I’d go for it. It’s very powerful. They’re on odder at the moment. Check amazon etc.
