New Around Here
Hi guys,
I' have bought recently a RT-AC86U to replace my RT-AC1900P. I did it mainly to upgrade my speed through VPN client on the router (I have 500/500 mbps fiber optic plan with Bell Canada and decided to take advantage of it). As soon as I connected to the internet I run into a strange situation. With RT-AC86U the majority of non-Canadian/American websites redirect to a page to login to Bell internet service (although the internet works). Even when using wifi with my cellphone it redirects me to the same page to login in order to use wifi . If I'm right it is called spoofing (I might be wrong). Although when activating the NordVPN client on the router everything went to normal. No redirection. Plus when connecting the router to internet with PPPoE it takes minutes (about 5) compared to RT-AC1900P which takes seconds.
None of this happened with my RT-AC1900P. The only downside is the VPN speed of the router (in my case).

Please, help!

I've just noticed that only http pages are redirected. https pages opens with no problems. I did no changes in both routers firewall. How does a router allow me to open these pages but not the other?
I've tested them again switching them, power-cycling the RT-AC86U, nothing helps but the VPN.

Below is tracing a http page like www.palemoon.org

Code:
Tracing route to www.palemoon.org [104.20.60.158]

So have you followed the instructions on that landing page to register your new router with Bell?
