Reset Merlin but keep Merlin?

Hello, is it possible to reset Merlin to it's initial state? Or do I need to reset to Asus firmware, then reinstall Merlin? thanks

Just do factory reset. The router will go back to default settings for whatever firmware it is running.

When you do the recommended following (or, use the Reset button, or use the GUI to perform a full reset to factory defaults), it resets the firmware installed to a good/known state. In other words, the firmware doesn't change. It simply provides the defaults the firmware is expecting.
