Hey broz, been a long time since I rapped at ya-

Just for fun, I like to see who is tapping at port 22 and other digital poking into my network. Is there a way to drop syslog into a program that will resolve ip addresses? Furthermore- since a lot of these addresses will not resolve into anything meaningful can resolution of ip address location (geolocation) be derived as well?

What about the geoip package? Not saying it's a ready solution to your problem but with some scripting you should be able to make it work..
