New Around Here
Asus AiMesh systems have two features (Binding a device to a node and a Roaming Block List) that seem to accomplish the same goal: locking a device to a particular node..

Is one better to than the other if the goal is to force a device to connect to a particular node?

I assume they are somehow addressing different use cases.

I have an XT8 mesh.

My experience when I previously used AiMesh was:
Binding is solid, the device will only connect to a specific node.
Roaming prevents devices from switching between nodes on a whim, but if a node becomes unavailable, you reboot the router or make some other change, then devices may connect to a different node - but they will not roam again until something changes!
