Router Advice

Dawgdoc

New Around Here
I need a new router for my business network.

Its a pier to pier network, with the server doubling as a workstation.

We currently have 5 workstations (including the server workstation) and a network printer so need a minimum of 6 ports.

The network could potentially be expanded to up to 10 workstations in the next 1 yr. We would like the capability to add wireless workstations as well.

Our current hardware is a Linksys 4 port "hi performance gaming router" with a Netgear 4 port switch added. We are experiencing workstation "dropoff" where the printer and other workstations will randomly not get recognized and fall off of the network, so my assumption is that we are exceeding the bandwith threshhold for the current hardware?

Any suggestions on products appreciated. Im self admittedly VERY weak when it comes to networking.

Thanks!

Edit/Add: Here is more detailed info on our setup

We have a server that houses all of the files and information. The server is connected to the router as are the other workstations. The netgear switch is connected to the router as well, and any workstations that dont fit on the router (its 4 port max) are connected to the switch.

All files and information are on the server exclusively. Shortcuts are pulled from the server to the workstation in question and used in that fashion.

Model numbers:

Router: Linksys Wireless N WRT160N V2

Switch: Netgear Prosafe 5 port Gigabit Desktop Switch GS105

Are hardwired devices dropping off the network or wireless?
