Router as hotspot client for backup

Is there an option to re-configure an Asus Merlin router that currently gets its IP through Ethernet to get the IP from a wireless hotspot (created by my mobile phone) instead?

Try configuring the router for Repeater mode:

Note: In this mode, the firewall, IP sharing, and NAT functions are disabled.

Wireless Client mode is not supported.

I just used one of the tiny GL.iNet routers as a wireless bridge when needed to do something similar.
