Router Gift: Need parental controls, printer server, easy GUI

What are the best + newest options for a good router that has:
parental controls (are there ANY options with effective web filtering?)
print server functionality
and a SIMPLE GUI?

Was thinking the Netgear wndr3800, but that's pretty spendy.

You generally have to spend a lot to get storage and printer sharing. Printer sharing can be iffy for compatibility.

All depends on what you mean by "effective" for web filtering. Virtually all solutions we've looked at can't block images returned by web searches. But they can filter websites.

D-Link and NETGEAR both are partnering with OpenDNS for its flavor of filtering. You can add OpenDNS to any router or computer, for that matter, simply by using its servers for your DNS.
