Hello all,
I have been trying to figure out a solution to this for a while and am hoping you can help.
The back story.
I have a synology NAS running transmission and several other things and I have it set up to vpn to privateinternetaccess.com which works great until I want to access it remotely. I have my router set up to port forward FTP to my NAS and that works great when the NAS isn't connected to the VPN. When I try to connect to the NAS remotely while it's connected to the VPN it seems like the return traffic is sent through the VPN connection messing everything up.
So I am wondering if I set up a router ( thinking of getting a new one... looking at ASUS) to connect to the VPN would it be possible to have any traffic originating from the LAN going to the web route through the VPN connection while allowing return traffic originating from the wan to bypass the VPN?
Thanks for your help.
