Hi

Tomorrow will arrive my RT AC88U router first think I'll do is install merlin firmware. I need only to install the latetest Merlin firmware or before I need to upgrade to latest asus official firmware?

No need to upgrade the official version first. You can directly install asuswrt-merlin.
