I am trying to see if I can isolate my wireless network from my physical switch ports.
I am adding a VOIP analog telephone adapter (ATA) to a physical Ethernet port. My goal is to minimize the broadcast traffic to the device. I don't want any traffic eating up cpu cycles on the ATA.
So, I know a vlan would limit broadcast traffic. However, I am unsure if Asus Merlin can do this.
I like the Merlin firmware so I would like to stick with it.
I know DD-WRT can do vlans, but I have yet to use DD-WRT on this router.
Suggestions?
