RT-AC3200 Clear Nvram doubts!!!

Hi guys how are you?

I have some questions :

Why we should need to clear Nvram when updating to some FW'S, what's the benefits? And when do you recommend to clear it?

And how to clear the Nvram at 3200 one? Never did it before

Resuming, to clear the Nvram a simple 5 seconds hold reset button at the back of the router is enough?
