I've seen the issue of the 64k nvram come up a few times in the forum. We all know it's not really enough for tri-band routers.
Wouldn't it be possible for asus to upgrade the cfe with 128k nvram?
They did it with the rt-n66u when it first came out.
 
It's a matter of time for we see it at 128kb nvram size.
 
Sorry, I don't really understand what you mean? Are you saying it is being worked on?
 
The nvram size is decreasing at each new FW release, so at some point it will run out of space and they will be forced to upgrade it.
 
What I would love to see... although I don't know how feasible it would be... is to move some of the NVRAM stuff off to a dedicated SD Card. That would free up the NVRAM for things that HAS to be there.
 
Upgrading nvram would imply a factory default reset. That might be reason enough for Asus to not be really interested in doing so.
