Hi all,
Finally made the step over to Asus from the Netgear world, and I've been poking around the AC5300's interface for several hours. It's all good, BUT . . .
For some reason, the gigabit ethernet network I had with the old router is now a 100 Mbps network. Where I used to get iperf rates very close to 1000 Mbits/sec, I am now getting an average of 94. I've tested it across several computers, using both ethernet and wifi. I get 300 Mbps from Comcast each month, but my speed test now maxes at 93-95. It's clearly something in the router (or, ok, in my head). But it does seem like there is some setting in this martian box that is reducing my bandwidth by 90 percent.
What could it be?
