I am having issue with my RT-AC5300. I have recently upgrade to Merlin 384.7 and found out both 5Ghz channel does not work properly (2.4Ghz works fine). I can see the SSID but I could not connect to it. It either keep show wrong password, no internet access or could not get DHCP from the router.

I have done factory default (both restore and initialize). Still could not fix the issue.

Is there anyone solved this issue before? Please advise me how to fix it.

Hi,
Thanks very much for your reply.
I have tried to flash the firmware to both v384.5 and v384.4_2 but no luck.
My laptop display a message said "Can't connect to this network".

dont use special characters in password and SSID only '_' or '-'

I think I found the issue.
My 5G channel is sitting at 114 degree.
Current Temperatures: 41 °C - 114 °C - 52 °C

I will start another post and ask about reduce the 5G temperature

I think forget it its dead with this temperatures.
If there is no return you could open it, remove cooling plate, remove metal shielding and have a look if the thermal strips are located well.
But as said these temps are probably to high for the WiFi chip to survive.
