Hi,

Last stable firmware for RT-AC66U is 380.66_6. After that my router keeps disconnecting from WAN like every 10-15 minutes. I have tried both Normal and Aggressive DHCP query frequency but it has no effect. After my WAN disconnects I have to log on my router and click Quick Internet Setup. It thinks a while and my WAN connects to ISP. It will not connect to ISP if I don't do this. I left my router for week when I went to worktrip and it didn't connect. I have tried every firmware after 380.66_6 and they all act the same. I always have to downgrade.

I think this is where problem shows.

EDIT 10.11.2017
The problem was fixed either by newest firmware or factory reset.

did you factory reset after you upgrade?
aslo are you mac cloning your isp modem/router?
is it a cable or fiber or dsl connection?

Didn't factory reset.
Not cloning on purpose.
Fiber to the housing company but local wiring is made with copper.

i see, can you test a factory reset after upgrade then manually put the settings back in to see if that helps.

Who is the ISP and what model modem do you have? If a gateway, do you have it bridged? Do the logs on the modem show any drops in the connections?

My ISP is finnish. Isn't RT-AC66U the model? I'm using Wireless router mode (Default). I think the drop happens in log I posted. Couple first lines. So far my internet haven't disconnect which is awesome. I think it had to do something with MAC-cloning? Maybe it had creators MAC or something when upgraded.

Some ISP companies are rude and force u to Mac clone I had it bug out when I cloned an older model of thier unit

The RT-AC66U is a router, not a modem or gateway. What do you have the ethernet connected to that connects to the WAN port on the RT-AC66U? What is that device? Cable modem? aDSL modem? Fiber ONT? WISP modem? If the router is having problems requesting DHCP, we need to know what it's requesting that DHCP through.

"My ISP is finnish"

Finnish isn't a ISP but a Swedish language. Do you have Sonera, Elisa, or DNA? The standard seems to be aDSL gateways connected to fiber gateways in the apartment complex. Some newer areas have direct fiber to ethernet and some older Sonera areas offer direct 10/100 ethernet bridged through fiber ONT on the property. If you are not sure, call whoever you pay for internet and ask but knowing how you tie into their network is a good start.

I said that my ISP is finnish because I knew that no one would recognize it. ISP is called MPY if that helps you anyway.

[ISP] =====fiber=====[FIBER ONT]-----RJ45-----[RT-AC66U]

I left home work week again and my connection didn't disconnect so seems like that newest firmware (RT-AC66U_380.68_4) fixed the problem or factory reset, can't tell. Didn't wait long enough.
