I have 3 Asus routers, 2 AC66U and a new AC68U. After flashing and setting up the AC68U, I updated my AC66U's to the latest Merlin firmware (3.0.0.4.376.45). After doing this, I can effectively no longer select the channel or bandwidth in the wireless settings on both AC66Us. Whatever I select it goes back to 20Mhz/Auto after I hit apply on both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz settings. Also on the 5GHz settings it sometimes shows the guest network instead of the main 5GHz network until I hit one of the SSID links at the top.
I tried flashing back to 3.0.0.4.374.43 and that did not solve this issue. Neither did flashing to the official Asus firmware instead of the Merlin version. I'm guessing I need to reset the routers to defaults after the switch between 374 and 376 versions, but I'd really rather not do this as I have a good amount of custom configuration on the one acting as main router rather than an access point, and this pretty much must be done late at night as otherwise people are trying to watch TV streamed from the PC. Any trick I am missing to fix this issue?
