My router seems to restart randomly multiple times per day, generally with a several hour intermission. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm on the latest firmware, did a factory reset, and everything should be fine. But it's not! Here's the part with today's date... there are more entries from another date which may just be the default date prior to the router obtaining the current one. Let me know if you need more of the logs. Please help!

The log does not suggest anything to me.

Perhaps bad power, bad power adapter, bad router hardware, cabling/electrical fault?

OE

Yes, perhaps you're right. Not sure what to replace it with though...

For bad power, put it on a UPS.

For a bad power adapter, find a spare that fits... same DC output voltage and equal or greater current rating.

For bad router hardware, consider the RT-AC86U.

For suspect cabling, remove all, inspect, and connect it back gradually over time. Replace anything that looks marginal/damaged.

If the router gets very hot, make sure it has good ventilation.

OE

The first thing to suspect is router getting too hot. Causes could be vents clogged with dust or stacking the router on top of the modem. Should this not be the case, its probably a failing power adapter. Hardware failure is probable but I would try to eliminate the first two first.
