RT-AC66U routing problem

Hi guys,

having trouble with this config:

- zyxel keenetic giga (192.168.1.1, 255.255.255.0) gets internet from WAN port, DHCP is ON
- asus rt-ac66u (192.168.1.101, 255.255.255.0) connected to zyxel via LAN-LAN ports, DHCP is OFF

my devices connected to asus wireless and by cable, LAN and internet is working great, all devices sees each other

problems started when i tried install entware
under ssh access, there is no DNS server and routing table looks like this:

192.168.1.0/24 dev br0  proto kernel  scope link  src 192.168.1.101
127.0.0.0/8 dev lo  scope link

i added nameserver 192.168.1.1 in empty resolv.conf
and default gateway

ip route add default via 192.168.1.1

after this i'm having successfull ping

but entware setup script having timeout connect to wl500g-repo.googlecode.com

i found out that traceroute command failed on last chain everytime:

tried to reflash firmware, reset settings to default, nothing's work...

firmware is 3.0.0.4.374.35_4 (Merlin build)

Your setup is non-standard. In this setup, your router has no WAN interface, so you will have problems getting a lot of the features to work properly.

seems like fine but

should i try LAN(zyxel)->WAN(asus) setup with other subnet, like 192.168.2.0?

i found out what the problem was, it was broadcasting port forward entry for WoL on zyxel left from my previous router... strange but when i deleted it everything works fine
