I have a problem I can't seem to figure out. On my network I have a WD MyCloud that I stream from and also copy files to and from computers and cell phones. My internet connection is rather slow (15/1) so I am a big fan of QOS. I've used a long line of Netgear routers and when I used QOS it would only apply the rules to the WAN, but on this Asus it appears to apply to LAN too, at least on the wireless side. If I turn QOS on and leave the upload bandwidth to 0 (unlimited) and copy files from my cell phone to another computer on my network I get my usual full speed (on 5gh with a Note 4, about 15MB/s in my case). However, when I enter 1Mb in the upload bandwidth field, LAN upload speeds drop to about 2-300KB over wireless (wired continues to work fine). I'd like to be able to set the bandwidth because the QOS performs a lot better on my limited internet when I do. Happened on initial firmware and latest. Rest of my settings are pretty much defaults for 2.4/5ghz. I don't think this is an issue with just my particular router, as a few months back I tried a TMobile cell-spot router (essentially a RT-AC68U) and ended up returning to my netgear for this exact same reason. I love everything else about this router so I would really appreciate any suggestions.
