RT-AC68U as a secondary gateway

New Around Here
I just got a new RT-AC68U to replace a budget TP-Link that was suffering heavily under load. This is how I'm set up:

ISP router: Gateway, DHCP server
RT-AC68U: VPN dialer/connection, Gateway, AP

The RT-AC68U is DMZ'd off and any users who want VPN for streaming/etc will use it as their gateway while everyone else uses the ISP router by default. This works fine when using DD-WRT firmware, but I can't seem to emulate the same set up using Merlin.

I've tried setting up in router mode using the same configuration; but any device using the RT-AC68U as their gateway has no Internet connection. Is there a setting/configuration that I'm missing?
