RT-AC68U at miniWeb Server

I tried upgrading to the latest firmware, it did not complete properly and I had to do a reset/power-on.
Now I am stuck at the "ASUSTek- CFE miniWeb Server" at 192.168.1.1

What do I have do next to get it to the latest Merlin?

Unzip the downloaded file and "upload" the . trx extension

Do you absolutely need the CFEwebserver for the flash? It does not work directly from the GUI?
What version is already installed?
If the version is Tomato, DD-wrt or older than 378.55 (376.3626 asus), you must flash with 378.55( for the partition size) before going further.

Yes, it started as a TM-AC1900. I got the answer post#63.
