I could a few tips. Running DD-WRT v24 on a Cisco E2000. In client bridge mode I'm able to easily connect to a Netgear router running stock firmware. It worked immediately following instructions on the DD-WRT site.

If I use the SSID and WPA/WEP password for 2.4 or 5 ghz on my RT-AC68U I'm unable to connect and get an Internet connection at all. Although I can join and connect to that network
I'm trying to get it working to keep from running CAT5 to the upstairs to use this router.

I know it has something to do with the ASUS Merlin RT-AC68U (latest fw) because I can also connect to an old WRT45G running DD-WRT v24 in both wireless bridge and client bridge mode.

Is there anything to look for? Much appreciated. I've tried several different encryption modes not per the DD-WRT guide.
