Hello,
I have an Arecont 3105 camera on the LAN side of my AC68U. It seems that, whenever the AC68U updates its client list, the two create a broadcast traffic storm that can last up to 20 minutes. I assume that this is the case because all of the activity lights on the two switches that I have on the LAN side go berserk. I discovered through trial and error that disconnecting the 3105 stops the behavior. During the trouble, communication is so poor that several connections between machines on the LAN are dropped. On the AC68U, CPU utilization on core 1 goes above fifty percent. I'm running the latest ASUS firmware on the AC68U and I am going to update the camera firmware tonight. There is only one newer version of the camera firmware and the change report for it does not look promising. What is the procedure that is being carried out on the router during a client list update? Would changing the router to Merlin help?
Thanks,
Bill
