I am trying to use my RT-AC68U with the 3.0.0.4.374.35_4 build as a WAP and an OpenVPN server. I see that I can only use VPN when in router mode. I am stuck using my Verizon actiontech router for my ISP due to FIOS settop boxes requiring the coaxial support. So I have port forwarded port 1194 in the actiontech to my ac68u which is running router mode. The problem is the ac68u cannot find the network to respond back to the incoming openvpn requests.

My question is can I run the AC68U in Access mode with the VPN?
If I cannot (and I don't think I can) can I run in router mode with the WAN being on the same subnet as my internal network? would this require a static route in the actiontech?

Any help would be appreciated!
