New Around Here
Did the upgrade last night and i'm only getting about 300mbps and not 900 mbps on my gig connection (gige switch and hardwired during test). Thought i should restore my overclock.

Code:

Front end still show 800mhz. I guess something changed during the upgrade to 384

There is no way that any type of 25%-35% overclocking of your RT-AC68u could possibly change any type of throughput from 300 megabits per second to 900 Mbps.

My download speed went from 3MB/s to 4MB/s when openVPN is running. Also Samba seems a bit faster

My old 68U clocked at 1000 MHz (no overclock) would do 940 Mbps with CTF enabled at 100% cpu usage. Without CTF NAT acceleration my 68U would do around 400 Mbps.

If I'm not mistaken the newer firmware versions update the CFE and do not allow overclocking. I can't remember which version introduced this limitation. Which firmware version are you coming from? Have you checked to see if NAT acceleration is enabled?

My overclock is sticking at 1ghz, using services-start and services-stop scripts.
BogoMIPS : 1998.84
384.4 - AC68U.
