I just had my A1 replaced by an E1. Is mine faulty or they removed the led lighting on the transparent ASUS logo bit on the back? on the A1 it lights up when the leds are ON, but not on the E1. Also noticed they replaced the on/off switch by a simpler (cheaper) trigger button.

A1:

Here is code to turn it on/off at least on my 68 A1. Test it.
Code:
Code:
led_ctrl 10 0
to turn on ASUS logo white LED
Code:
led_ctrl 10 1

There's no LED since revision C1.

Can you have a look in the system log and see what the wireless network startup line looks like?

Code:
Aug 1 00:00:18 kernel: eth1: Broadcom BCM4360 802.11 Wireless Controller 6.37.14.126 (r561982)

There's no LED since revision C1.

Oh ok :( thank you!

LED light looks awesome! But I am using rev C1, so no LED as well:(.

I never understood the idea behind that light. It's at the back of the router, so it's not even visible.

Maybe it helps people working in dark closets see the Ethernet connectors?

Thank you, in the mean learned that this message seems to be generic and does not really tell you the exact wireless chip type.
