RT-AC68U will NOT setup

Hi Guys,

Did install a test build 380.64 alpha 2, but it didn't appear to work.
The router became very very slow on the webui - could not change any settings - always logged me off.
Admin page showed f/w as 380.63 .

So back to the stable 380.63 f/w - uploaded - rebooted - etc etc.

Get login screen - logon - page 1 - change admin p/w - then goes 2nd page (wireless setup) - bang logs me off.
Subsequent login attempts will not recognise admin p/w change and or user name changes.

Have rest to factory defaults - turned off power for 30secs - same end result.

Have disconnected ALL usbs, wired cables - NOTHING seems to work.

Are there any other ways to force the router to reset to factory default ?

Assistance / Ideas will be appreciated.

Thanks for that, but it hasn't worked.
I have tried now both wired and wireless.

NOTE:
In wireless connection I get the initial change admin password - then logoff.
In wired mode I get the logon screen - but am unable to logon.
ahhhhhhhhhh. let's use admin / admin. Goes to the next page and then it tells me that the router is unprotected and change password.
DONE.

Back to logon screen - and change your password. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I think I bricked my baby :-(.

Hi to All,

And off course like typical computer hardware - all of a sudden it behaves. Damn just like my kids when younger .

So this was a complete mystery. Configurations are lost - but that is easy to redo.

The world looks great again. Think i will make my wifey a cuppa and have a nice chat. Been a bit grumpy this morning.
