Hi,
I have two ASUS RT-AC68U and want to use one of them as an access point and one as a repeater. The access point will be connected to my router via cable and offer the 2,4 GHz and 5 GHz radios to wireless clients while the repeater should be connected to the access point using the 5 GHz radio, offer wired connections for my media devices in the living room and offer the 2,4 GHz radio for wireless clients. ASUS calls this crossband repeating "ASUS ExpressWay" in the feature descriptions of their wireless repeater line. For example it is described here (just search for the line "ASUS ExpressWay boosts performance").
Does Asuswrt-Merlin support this feature in Repeater Mode (or does Asuswrt official already support it)?
Regards
