Hello!

Since setting up dual WAN on the ASUS RT-AC87U, I have noticed a situation where the router will Kernel Panic at random, whenever one of the WAN connections drops out. I can reproduce the issue if I unplug one of the WAN connections from the router, usually on the first or second attempt. Otherwise, like what happened today, it seems that when the primary connection goes offline, the secondary will come up, then the router will kernel panic shortly after. Or if the secondary WAN connection's Ethernet link is unplugged.

My primary connection is a Charter Cable connection, which is configured to use DHCP to obtain an IPv4 address, and DHCPv6 SLAAC to provide the network with IPv6 connectivity. This is connected to the WAN port on the router.

My secondary connection is a Verizon DSL connection, which lives on LAN Port 4. This connection only supports IPv4, and obtains an IP address using PPPoE.

Dual WAN is configured in Fail Over mode, with the Charter connection as primary, Verizon connection as fail-over, with fail-back configured. My detection interval for connection failure is 30 seconds (5 second wait x 6 tries) and "Enable Ping to Internet" to Google is enabled.

This problem has occurred with a few different builds of ASUSWRT Merlin (I have not tried stock yet), and I am currently running v380.65. The router has been through an NVRAM reset since I first noticed the problem.

Attached is a log showing the panic from when the Cable connection went down today, due to a service outage. The modem did *not* reboot or drop it's Ethernet link. Any ideas on what's wrong would be appreciated. Both Cable connection and the DSL connection have IPs being held by the router at present. The Cable connection went down from 10:40AM to 10:50AM. It seems the dual WAN code may be very buggy.
