RT-ACU68 - Bonding NICs

Gianpaolo

New Around Here
HI,
I was just wondering if this was possible on this router. I just recently installed a switch (Linksys SRW2008) capable of aggregating (bonding) eth ports and coupled with doing the same thing on my PC (linux), proved to be fruitful. A steady 30% improvement on overall LAN speeds. However I was not able to bond the two of the eth ports on the router which I think would better the situation further.
Is this at all possible ? Has anyone tried ?
Logically, it would require bonding the ports on router side, but I honestly don't think this is supported, so I was wondering if anyone had tried.
Thanks in advance.

It's not supported. There is already a thread in these forums (use search) from long ago describing how you can do it through custom scripting in Merlin's firmware. But IIRC the performance is so bad on the RT-AC68U that it defeats the purpose of doing it.

Thanks so much.
I will search for it and put my curiosity to rest.
