RT-AX3000 gen 1 is unbale to go back to stock firmware

Hi there,my ax3000's been working well with merlin (RT-AX58U_3004_388.8_2). A few days ago I was trying to flash it to stock firmware 3.0.0.4.388_25127 but it failed on the web ui.
then I tried the recovery tool but the recoevery tool said the device was not in recovery mode, however when I tried ping the router 192.168.1.1 it did respond.

Is there any trick I'm not aware to flash the stock firmware?

Go to the Asus official firmware site and download 3.0.0.4.386.45898 and install after that you should be able to load the latest firmware.

Interesting. I though since I was using merlin 3004_388.8_2 it wouldn't be a problem but good to know.

Today I went Asus website and found out they removed the older version firmware !
I had to get it from 3rd party source! Super annoying!
