New Around Here
Hi!

I've never tried asuswrt-merlin before but wanted to give it a try since I really need the dnsmasq feature.
Currently my router is running fw 3.0.0.4.386_47029-g38ccf74. Does this mean that I must use the merlin version "386_4_0" or can I go straight for the latest "386_5_2"?
Thing is, I've tried both, (all 386_X merlin-firmware for the RT-AX58U actually) but every single one gives me the "Invalid firmware" error message.
When it comes to trouble shooting I've tried:
* resetting to factory default
* downgrading to stock 3.0.0.4.386.45898 (same there, invalid firmware).
* tried all browsers on my mac, also on my PC

The only firmware that I can upload manually is the current stock one from Asus (3.0.0.4.386.47029).

What am I missing?

Best
/ J
