RT-AX86U making audible noise

Hi,

I have just bought a RT-AX86U which runs great but it does when using the 2,4 ghz band make high frequency electrical noise that I can hear several meters away. Since I have it in my living room it is distracting. When switching off the 2,4 GHz band and only using the 5 ghz band the router is however silent.

Anybody else having the same issue or are your RT-AX86Us silent?

Mine is completely silent. Possibly coil whine?

I'd return it if you can.

@dfunked - thanks for your feedback; yes could be coil whine. Fortunately I have 50 days to return it.

Yes at first I wasn`t so happy with it as I also had some stability issues but after having now installed Merlin beta 4 these seem to have disappeared and speed, range, etc. is great, etc. so would like to stick with a (silent) AX86U ☺
