RT-AX87U - Merlin Reinstall Order/Factory Reset...

Hello Chaps,
My trusty old 87u has recently decided to corrupt its external SSD and I feel it's time for a wipe/reinstall.

There are quite a few guides on here and some seem to suggest a double factory reset, or a reset then re-load of firmware afterwards.

Could anyone give me a step order of reinstalling Merlin?
I intend to then reinstall AMTM/Diversion. Same as before over CLI - or is there now a newer/preferred way to install this? (it's been years since i originally set it up)

There is no reason to reinstall the firmware. It's in read-only flash.

Reset to factory defaults, then reinstall any addon.
