Hi all, new to the forum. Hoping for some help - I've looked everywhere.
I'll start with the apologies/disclaimers. 1) not a developer; 2) surely my question has been asked before, but I find that everybody's setup is so different than mine that answers never really solve anything (tried a bunch already and nothing); 3) I may be posting in the wrong place, though I'm hoping not very far from where I should be.
Phew, getting those out of the way, here's the question.
In the UK, full fibre 900+, router ASUS RT-AX89X, factory firmware (no Merlin available).
Problem: BT TV not working. Connected to router via ethernet.
Tried : LAN / IPTV / Enabled Multicast Routing / Disable Fast Leave.
I think here's the problem :: enable IGMP snooping is not available. But here's the funny thing. A simple "show code" on the IPTV page confirms the presence of the feature, but it has style::display:none.
So... the question is
a) if the feature is there, why hide it? (in fact, several features there are hidden)
b) is there a way to edit the firmware to enable the feature? aka a workaround?
c) is this feature the solution to the problem, or is the solution elsewhere?
If anyone could help out I would really appreciate it.
I'm sure all I need are some tweaks on the router's settings.
