rt-N56U blinking led- on a Mac

I just hooked up my rt-n56u router, and after the firmware update all I've got is a blinking power light. I've put it in rescue mode and have tried downloading the firmware, but on a mac I have no application that will run the .trx file

can anyone help? I'm on a mac, which makes firmware installations problematic.
