New Around Here
I've tried search the threads here, the ASUS site and Google and I'm not find anything on how to configure OS X Lion to VPN into the RT-N66U. Now there are not may settings so I figured this was a no-brainer. No Joy! So I'm assuming its a PPTP connection. I have turned it on at the router, added a username and password, applied the settings. But in my hostname from DYNDNS, I have also tired just my current IP just in case, no perform identically.

It says connection, the icon does it thing then I get an error message that I've been "disconnected from the communication device."

Any ideas? I've updated to the latest firmware, in case it was a bug.

First off, just to make sure check your setup steps here,
How to set up a VPN connection on the Mac OSX in a wireless router: http://support.asus.com/Search/KDetail.aspx?SLanguage=en&no=0B982419-6249-9DCF-8BCC-D7127F1637E9&t=2

If you are trying to set the router up as a VPN server, you can follow the steps here,
How do you set up the ASUS wireless router as a VPN server: http://support.asus.com/Search/KDetail.aspx?SLanguage=en&no=39EB5311-E0CD-96D0-7B13-2C4F532929B4&t=2
*I know the router model is different, but the steps should be the same.

Also, make sure you are testing the VPN from outside your network, as otherwise it might have trouble doing a loopback from inside the LAN.
