RT-N66U for $129.99

Just in case this helps anyone... I noticed the RT-N66U can be purchased for a net price of $129.99 after rebate from Amazon.com and from Newegg.com. They both have it on sale for $149.99 and there's a $20 mail-in rebate.

This means the N66U is $60-70 less than the current best price on the AC model.

What is the difference in the "AC" unit?

Is it the "5G WIFI" capability? If so, what happened to the single letter WIFI ratings ("G", "N", etc)?

I don't have time to keep up, but when I bought my RT-N66U about a year ago, it was top-of-the-line.
