RT-N66U upgrade path from old 374.40

I have this router at a very old level. What is the upgrade path to current levels ? I have gone through 300 pages of this forum and tend to believe that it probably needs multiple firmware upgrade steps, but I am not sure what they are or if the intermediate firmware downloads are available.

For the RT-N66U just directly flash the latest firmware (380.68_4). After that I strongly recommend doing a factory default reset and manually reconfiguring everything.
